About Donnelle Gaston, NC LMBT #7040
Hello. My name is Donnelle and I have been practicing as a Massage Therapist since April 2007. I completed my massage training at the Therapeutic Massage Training Institute (TMTI) in Charlotte, NC. Upon graduation, I gained experience by working at Massage Envy and started my own practice in September 2009.
I earned a B.S. degree in Nutritional Science from San Jose State University. Next I fulfilled a dream by serving as a Peace Corps Volunteer as a Heath Educator in a rural community in Haiti. After returning to the U.S., I worked with children and adults with developmental disabilities before returning to school.
As if that wasn't enough, I decided to head back to school, and I recently became a Registered Nurse. I'm excited because it takes my knowledge of the body much deeper. I think that my experience as a Massage Therapist help me be a great Nurse and that being a Nurse will add to my skills as a Massage Therapist.
I have two young children, so I know what it takes to balance family and career in today's world. My approach to massage is holistic. Each massage session is customized to meet my clients needs at that time, with relaxation being the primary goal.
I use a combination of techniques and modalities, including, but not limited to: Swedish (relaxation), Deep Tissue (to address specific issues), Movement Therapy and Reflexology. I have advanced training in Prenatal massage. As a North Carolina Licensed Massage and Bodywork Therapist, I am required to complete continuing education courses so new and fresh techniques are added all of the time.
Committed to helping my clients achieve their wellness goals.
